Configuration and administration
Commercial licensing
Check the license status of a private deployment and activate or update an enterprise license.

Private deployments run in trial mode by default: up to 3 users, with analysis canvases disabled. If you need more users or canvas capabilities, obtain an enterprise license that meets your needs; the issued license determines its capacity, features, and validity period.
View and activate
Obtain an activation code
Obtain an enterprise license through AskTable commercial services and confirm user capacity, canvas capabilities, and validity. Cloud plans and private deployment licenses are different authorizations; confirm that you are purchasing a private deployment license.
Open the Enterprise license section
Sign in with a system administrator account on your private deployment, then go to Profile → Organization → Organization settings → Enterprise. This section shows trial or License status, expiration date, capacity usage, and feature status.
Activate or update
Click Activate, or Update if a license already exists. Enter the complete activation code and submit. After success, check that the user limit, canvas capabilities, and validity period shown on the page match your expectations.
The Enterprise license section is shown only to system administrators in private deployments. Organization Owner/Admin roles govern the organization and are not equivalent to system administrator status.
How capacity is counted
Private deployment user counts are based on global accounts. Disabling an organization member keeps the account, so it does not free a licensed user slot. The legacy table-count field in licenses no longer limits operation; showing table usage on the page does not indicate a table-count limit.
Whether a license enables canvases depends on the actual issued license. “Activated” does not mean that every feature is enabled.
Expiration and updates
After a license expires, the page may display “AskTable Enterprise is locked.” A system administrator can submit a new activation code on the locked page; other members must contact their administrator.
| Symptom | Resolution |
|---|---|
| Cannot create more users | Check the user limit and current usage in the Enterprise license section and update to a license with suitable capacity; administrator-created accounts are also subject to the limit |
| Canvases are unavailable | Check whether the license enables canvases and whether it has expired |
| Cannot find the activation entry | Confirm that this is a private deployment and open Organization settings with a system administrator account |
| Activation fails | Check that the activation code is complete; keep the page's error message and contact the issuer to verify it |
| Status is incorrect after an update | Refresh the page and check capacity, features, and validity; contact the issuer if they are still incorrect |
