# Invite members

Invite colleagues to the organization, then assign project permissions; Cloud also supports project links for inviting guests.

Have colleagues join the organization first, then arrange project access. Direct invitations suit specific people, organization invitation links suit bulk joining, and Cloud project links suit guests who participate in only one project.

## Direct organization invitations

Create an invitation in **Profile → Organization → Member management**, enter the recipient's login identifier, and select an organization role: use a phone number on China Cloud, and an email address on overseas Cloud and private deployments.

- You can invite people who have not registered. An invitation is valid for **7 days** and can be accepted only once.
- Owners can invite Admins, Members, and Cloud Billing Admins and Guests; Admins can invite Members and Cloud Guests.
- After creation, the member directory shows “Pending acceptance.” Cloud reserves the corresponding member slot, releases it on revocation or expiration, and does not count it again on acceptance.
- After the invitee registers or signs in, the system matches unexpired invitations and guides them through acceptance.

In-app invitations and link copying are currently available; SMS and email are not sent automatically. Adding users in a private deployment is also subject to the license's user limit.

## Organization invitation links

Enable “Allow joining the organization via link” in **Member management**, then copy the generated link and send it to colleagues. People join as organization Members by default.

Links are disabled by default. Once enabled, they remain valid until disabled or reset. Disabling stops use immediately; resetting creates a new link and invalidates the old one immediately. Links do not reserve slots; capacity is checked when someone actually joins.

An existing active organization member opening a link to the same organization keeps their current role and does not use another slot.

## Cloud project invitation links

Cloud project settings provide two types of links:

Project owners and administrators can manage these links. Administrator links grant project management permissions, so distribute them according to actual collaboration needs. Links remain valid until disabled or reset. Existing organization members keep their organization roles, and a link does not downgrade an existing higher project role.

Private deployments do not provide Guests or these project invitation links. Join the single organization through an organization invitation, registration, or enterprise member import first, then add project members.

## Add existing organization members to a project

Open **Project settings → Project members**, or the project details in **Organization → Project management**, and choose to add members:

1. Select from active candidates in the current organization, filtering by nickname or user ID if needed.
2. Select one or more people and choose project Admin or Member.
3. Changes take effect immediately after submission; if adding any member fails, nothing in the batch is written.

Candidates exclude Billing Admins and disabled or deleted users. Cross-organization searches by email or phone number are not available. People outside the organization must accept an invitation first; this entry does not create project invitations awaiting registration.

## Accept an invitation link

**Open the link**

Open the complete link you received in a browser. Sign in or register first if you are not signed in.

**Complete identity information**

Complete authentication, phone verification, or profile information as required by the deployment. The invitation link is retained throughout the process.

**Enter the organization or project**

After authentication, the link is handled automatically. An organization link opens the organization; a project link opens the target project.

If a link is invalid, disabled, reset, or lacks available capacity, the page shows the reason. Contact the inviter to check the link and remaining slots, then try again.
