# Commercial licensing

> Trial limits for self-hosting, and how to obtain and activate an enterprise license.

A self-hosted AskTable deployment runs in **trial mode** by default. To remove the limits and run in production, you need an **enterprise license**.

## Trial limits

Without an activated license, a self-hosted deployment is limited to:

* Up to 3 users
* Canvas analysis unavailable

An enterprise license lifts these limits.

## Obtain and activate

    Purchase it in the [AskTable cloud console](https://cloud.asktable.com) or contact us to get an activation code.

    Log in to your self-hosted deployment, click **Trial** in the bottom-left corner, and enter the activation code to lift the limits.

With a license, you can use the [Advanced configuration](/en/deploy/advanced) (subpath deployment, white-labeling, and so on).
